10TH ANNUAL WISCONSIN SPORTS AWARDS
Good Karma Brands is proud to announce the 10th Annual Wisconsin Sports Awards: History Made, a televised event hosted by ESPN Milwaukee morning show host and national ESPN reporter, Jen Lada.
We are excited to recognize and celebrate high school, collegiate, and professional athletes across the state of Wisconsin. Fans can expect to watch captivating storytelling, interviews, and more from local talent, including Bob Uecker, voice of the Milwaukee Brewers, Dave Koehn and Ben Brust, play-by-play and color analyst for the Milwaukee Bucks, and more during the month of December on the following scheduled to appear dates via various platforms throughout the state of Wisconsin:
• December 11, 2021 @ 12:30pm on WISC in Madison
• December 19, 2021 @ 2:00pm on WKBT in La Crosse
• December 18, 2021 @ 1:00am on TMJ4 in Milwaukee
• December 26, 2021 @ 1:00pm on WBAY in Green Bay

The show will feature interviews with the 2021 NBA Champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, and Milwaukee Brewers’ 2020 National League Rookie of the Year, Devin Williams. It will also highlight athletes who have greatly impacted the community in unique ways with the Community Involved Athlete of the Year presented by JOCKEY and the Broken Bat Brewery Inspirational Athlete of the Year. The televised event will recognize the Cousins Subs Wisconsin Sports Awards scholarship winners.

Jonah Jurss
High School: Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School
College: Concordia University Wisconsin
Major: Physical Therapy
College sport: Basketball
High school highlights: Jonah was a four-sport athlete, playing basketball and baseball, while also running cross country and track and field. He made the High Honor Roll every semester and has a long list of athletic accomplishments, including 2020 First Team All-Conference and State Champion on cross country, and basketball team captain, Conference Champion and 2020 WIAA 3-point challenge finalist. In his free time, Jonah served as a tutor for low-income elementary students, assisted with youth basketball camps and helped organizations like Special Olympics and Meals on Wheels.
Madison Russell Â
High School: Shullsburg High School
College: Oklahoma State University
Major: Animal Science
High school highlights: Madison was a two-sport athlete, playing basketball and running track and field. She was her class Valedictorian, basketball All-Conference, state pole vault qualifier, along with countless other academic and athletic achievements. Madison also received the 2021 Junior Achievement Young Entrepreneur award for her business, Prime Time Performance, that uses pulsed electromagnetic therapy on livestock to reduce inflammation. In her free time, Madison works with her livestock and volunteers at both the Centenary United Methodist Church and Shullsburg Community Development Corporation.
Quinton Lamers
High School: Rhinelander High School
College: University of Montana
Major: Finance and Management Information System
College sport: Football
High school highlights: Quinton was a four-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, baseball and golf. He served as team captain for nearly every sport he participated in and received numerous athletic recognitions, including Football All-State Academic Team in 2020, Football All-Conference in 2020 and 2021 and Basketball All-Conference in 2020. Quinton also exceled academically. He was a member and the treasurer of the National Honor Society and was named a Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship program. In his free time, Quinton volunteered for Link Crew, served as a tutor, coaching volunteer and school board liaison.
Makenna Guden
High School: Edgar High School
College: University of Wisconsin Superior
Major: Biomedical Science
College sport: Basketball
High school highlights: Makenna was a five-sport athlete, playing volleyball, basketball and softball, as well as running cross country and track and field. She received the Highest Honors Award every year, as well as the Presidential Gold Education Award, numerous varsity letters, All-Conference recognition and she served as Team Captain for nearly every sport she was involved in. In her free time, Makenna was involved in multiple organizations, including National Honors Society, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Student Council and served as her Class Officer.
