At GKB, we measure on financial performance and culture, and ESPN West Palm has won consistently on both metrics. This year, ESPN West Palm team celebrates 20 years. This anniversary is unlike any other anniversary in sports radio because over the last 20 years, our West Palm team has defined sports and sports marketing in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. Prior to Good Karma Brands launching the station in 2003 (then 760 AM), West Palm was the largest market in the country without a sports radio station.. We saw an opportunity, and we acted. Over the past two decades, ESPN West Palm has recognized high school athletes, covered local teams, partnered with area businesses to help achieve their goals, gave back to the community, launched a Bowl Game and help to ultimately define West Palm Beach as a true sports town.
Our growth has been in large part due to our team. That includes the teammates that started it in 2003 which include Craig Karmazin, Debbie Brown, Evan Cohen, Lance Davis, and Steve Politziner. From there the leadership of GKB President, Steve Politziner, and current ESPN West Palm Market Manager and Vice President at GKB, Stephanie Prince-Springmyer, have brought along many teammates across GKB. GKB is now 500+ teammates and so many began their career in West Palm. Our West Palm Beach office has proven to be where the fundamentals are built and core values are instilled – how to work hard, be honest, follow through, over deliver, listen, and work as a team.
On March 3rd at midnight, the team began a 20-hour broadcast to celebrate 20 years. The team shared stories and celebrated together during the 20-hour broadcast with games, raffles, yoga, tequila tastings and more. Congratulations to Stephanie Prince-Springmyer and ESPN West Palm, and here’s to another successful 20 years!
