On November 4th, 2016, Chicagoans – including the Surridge Family- took over the streets of Chicago, parading on behalf of the Cubs World Series win. This day was historic for our city and historic for me, as this was my first chance being actively part of sports history. I had just returned home from visiting Butler University for the first time. In the following week, I attended a concert here in Milwaukee. I had no idea what was to come in the making of my personal history. I will never forget this moment of celebration with my family. Go Cubs, go! My kind of town, Chicago is.
