Juneteenth
June 19
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.
The large and vibrant annual Juneteenth parade and street festival, hosted by Northcott, will be held along King Drive between West Burleigh and West Center streets. The street festival typically features food, vendors, music, contests, games, attractions, community resources, history, dancing and more.
The parade, running from 9 to 11 a.m., starts at North 14th Street and West Atkinson Avenue, travels south to King Drive, then east to Locust Street.
