This year, the ESPYS recognizes the 50 year anniversary of Title IX, the landmark civil rights legislation that prohibited discrimination based on gender in federally-funded educational institutions. ESPN Chicago will have the ability to honor an outstanding female athlete for the contributions they have made to their local community in the areas of broadening access to sports for girls. Entries are open until 4pm on July 1st, 2022. Winners to be announced July 20th, 2022.
